#StopAsianHate / Leading Anti-Racist Efforts in Organizations: A conversation with Lily Zheng

Join this —pay-what-you-can— candid conversation with Lily Zheng, DEI consultant, as we discuss processing trauma at work, leading anti-racist efforts, and how to combat Anti-Asian violence and discrimination.

Anti-Asian violence is increasing at an alarming rate. Since the beginning of the pandemic, hate crimes and violence against Asian immigrants and Asian Americans have surged 150%. If we want to #StopAsianHate, we have to do far more than denounce the interpersonal violence that makes the news. The roots of anti-Asian violence are deep and familiar: white supremacy, xenophobia, and imperialism.

We need to evolve our movement from empty brand statements for #StopAsianHate — and #BlackLivesMatter — into focusing our efforts on dismantling white supremacy, brick by brick.

That work has always been happening. That work continues, today and every day. Get involved.
